She once planned to wed in St Paul's Cathedral, despite it being the preserve of royal marriages, and now party queen Paris Hilton has taken another step to bring her closer to Britain's aristocracy by buying a 50 per cent stake in one of Prince William's favourite hangouts.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror the American heiress has persuaded her dad to stump up the cash for a stake in The Collection, a swanky bar in South Kensington. "Paris loves London, and whenever she's here she always goes wild for the party scene," reveals a source. "Her parents have bought her a 50 per cent share in The Collection because she loves the vibe there so much." The 24-year-old reality TV star is no stranger to nightlife ventures as she already co-owns trendy Florida nightspot Club Paris in Orlando. Having turned up six hours late for that venue's launch party – forcing sister Nicky to step in instead – it's perhaps a relief to her fellow shareholders that the glamorous blonde plans on taking a back seat in the Chelsea business.
