England's World Cup may be over, but there's no rest for the WAGS, as the players' partners have been dubbed by the media. Led by Coleen McLoughlin, the footballers' wives and girlfriends are to make their TV debut in a fashion face-off for charity.

Wayne Rooney's fiancée and her friends will compete to open their own boutiques, with whoever racks up the most profit declared the winner. The money they make during the show FW Boutique will go to worthy causes.

Liverpudlian Coleen - who impressed with her retail skills during England's stay in the German town of Baden-Baden - will run a store up north against rivals including George Best's ex-wife Alex.

Steven Gerrard's fiancée Alex Curran and Theo Walcott's love Melanie Slade have also been asked to come on board. Filming starts in August so the ladies can pick out stock from the treats on offer at Milan Fashion Week.

Meanwhile, some of the other WAGS have also been busy. Victoria Beckham has been helping Ashley Cole's fiancée Cheryl Tweedy with preparations for her wedding on July 15.

Far from just concentrating on their men's ball control at the World Cup the two celebs were indulging in an age-old female passion - planning fairytale nuptials. "We didn't shut up - it was wedding this and wedding that," confides Cheryl. David Beckham's wife - who has Roberto Cavalli on speed dial - reportedly introduced her two friends, with the result that the Girls Aloud singer will walk down the aisle in one of the Italian maestro's £110,000 creations.
