Beyonce has confirmed she will take to the stage at the half-time show of the American football Super Bowl next year.
The Grammy-winning Crazy In Love singer officially confirmed the news herself with a post on her official website.
Beyonce posted a photograph in which the date Feb 3, 2013, is written on her face.

At the top of the page, the announcement reads: "Countdown to Touchdown."
Madonna performed at half-time at this year's Super Bowl in February with guests Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO and MIA.
Her performance was seen by 114 million people, a higher average than the game itself, which was seen by an estimated 111 million.

If Beyonce's performance at the NFL Halftime Show features collaborations, it may include husband-rapper Jay-Z, her Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, Shakira or Sean Paul.
New Orleans last hosted a Super Bowl in 2002, making next year's game the first NFL championship in the city since Hurricane Katrina devastated parts of the Louisiana Superdome in 2005.
