Angelina Jolie reclaims most elegant woman crown from Kate as our readers vote her top choice of 2012

16 JANUARY 2013 Last year Kate Middleton ended Angelina Jolie's reign in HELLO! Online's yearly most elegant vote, a title the actress had held for the previous two years running. But the Hollywood beauty is back on top, being chosen by our readers as the most elegant woman of 2012.

The culmination of the web site's most attractive and most elegant polls is an event that's 12 months in the making, draws interest from around the world and gets readers clicking in their thousands.

And this year Angelina was the clear reader's choice, winning the most elegant woman category with 40 per cent of the vote. The Duchess did feature, taking bronze with 22 per cent. She was beaten into third place by another elegant royal lady – Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, who scored 27 per cent.

Whether HELLO! Online readers have been impressed with Angelina's stunning red carpet appearances in the last 12 months, or just more mindful of the star after she got engaged to her partner Brad Pitt, she was a firm favourite, also taking the top spot in our most attractive poll.

The mother-of-six was named the most attractive woman of 2012 after earning 36 per cent of the vote. Welsh beauty Katherine Jenkins was next with just under a quarter of the vote, while Les Misearbles beauty Anne Hathaway came third with 10 per cent. Clearly voters think the star's new elvin cut – which she adopted after cutting off her long locks to play Fantine in the big screen adaption of the musical – gives her added appeal.






There was a clear winner in our most attractive man vote – with tennis hunk Roger Federer acing it with 43 per cent of your clicks. The accolade joins his Wimbledon trophy and silver medal he earned at the London 2012 Olympics, capping an unbelievable year for the current World Number Two player.

Following behind him was Orlando Bloom, with 27 per cent of vote. The handsome star has been absent from cinema screens of late – he's been busy filming the second and third parts of the Hobbit - but he's clearly still high in reader's affections.

Taking third position was home-grown star Tom Hiddleston. The blond actor, clearly caught the attention of readers after appearing in two of last year's Oscar films, War Horse and Midnight in Paris.
