With a purple tie-dye maxi dress clinging to her pregnancy curves, the star raised the stakes in maternity fashion.

On Saturday, Halle talked about Mother's Day as she hosted Revlon's Run/Walk For Women charity race.

"My family gets together and they get to plan the day for me, and I love that. I'm the planner and I'm the one that organizes. And on Mother's Day I get to just be taken care of."

The actress also fielded questions about her pregnancy, telling reporters that she and Olivier were blissfully unaware of their baby's sex.

"We don't know what we're having," she said. "We're having a baby, that's for sure."

Halle has said that becoming pregnant at 46 was "the biggest surprise" of her life. Talking to CNN about becoming a mother for the second time, she said she felt "fantastic", admitting that she didn't expect to fall pregnant at her age.

Despite the pleasant surprise, the star has remained active and has been hard at work promoting her latest film The Call around the globe.

When she gives birth later this year Halle will grant daughter Nahla, from her relationship with model Gabriel Aubry, her biggest wish.

In a November appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, the actress revealed that Nahla desperately wanted to be a big sister.

"Every night, we do our prayers and she says, 'God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister.' And I say, 'I can do one of those things, I know for sure. The other one, we've got to keep praying on.'"
