Jack and Lisa Osbourne make brave first public appearance since tragic miscarriage

12 SEPTEMBER 2013 Jack Osbourne and his wife Lisa have bravely made a red carpet appearance less than a week after revealing that Lisa had tragically lost the baby boy she was carrying.

It is understandably a difficult time for the couple as they come to terms with the late-term miscarriage. But they decided to step out to show their support for a worthwhile cause, the Cops 4 Causes benefit concert.

They managed a smile for the cameras as they posed together outside the event. Lisa looked glamorous in a sheer white top, her new short crop styled in a side parting. She added a splash of colour with bright red lipstick.

Her proud husband Jack – who is currently rehearsing for the new series of Dancing with the Stars - stood by her side, his arm placed protectively around her waist.

Last Thursday, Lisa took to her personal blog to announce the sad news that she had lost the little boy she was carrying.

In a post titled 'Unfortunate Announcement', the 27-year-old wrote, "Jack and I lost our baby boy last week. Having a late term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through.

"We appreciate all of your prayers and ask for privacy and respect during this time."

The couple, who are parents to 16-month-old daughter Pearl, have been trying hard to stay positive.

"It is important to stay hopeful and optimistic through life's toughest moments," Lisa wrote. "We never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives."

Jack and Lisa, both 27, married in Hawaii in October 2012, and announced they were expecting their second child just one month ago.
