Paul Hollywood and wife Alexandra share a tender kiss as it looks like they rekindle their romance

09 DECEMBER 2013 Paul Hollywood and his wife Alexandra look like they are rekindling their romance, months after the celebrity baker had an affair with American Baking Competition co-star Marcela Valladolid.

The couple were spotted at the weekend sharing a tender kiss following a meal at a pub with their 12-year-old son Joshua.

Paul has been spending lots of quality time with Alexandra recently, in efforts to win his wife back after a fling while he was filming in America – what he has since called the "biggest mistake" of his life.

Regulars at the village pub where the Hollywood family dinner took place, and which is close to the Kent house that Paul is currently renting, said the pair looked "comfortable" and "happy" as they dined together.

The Great British Bake Off judge told Radio 5 Live's Richard Bacon in October: "I did have an affair in America with my co-judge and it was the biggest mistake of my life because actually I still love my wife."

The father-of-one went on to speak optimistically about resolving his relationship with his wife of 15 years. "We are talking, we are working to get back together again but it's going to take time," he said.

"I don't mind talking about it now, because I am asking the press to give us privacy because that's exactly what we need at the moment".

While he has not yet moved back into their family home, the couple are understood to be on the road to reconciliation.

A family friend told Mail Online: "I understand that they're getting on much better than they were and that's really great news.

"I don't think he's moved back in yet and that would indicate to me that they’ re still taking it slowly. I guess these things take time to heal."
