Michelle Obama slam dunks basketball in viral video

Michelle Obama proved she is quite the sportsman when she perfected a basketball slam dunk during a fun YouTube video promoting healthy eating. The video, which went viral, shows the First Lady joking around eating apples and drinking water, distracting coach Erik Spoelstra as he interviews NBA stars Dwayne Wade and Ray Allen about the benefits of healthy eating. Michelle then steals the show as LeBron James holds up a small hoop in which she slam dunks a basketball, interrupting the interview and making everybody laugh. The video comically ends with the First Lady sitting on a couch at the White House surrounded by NBA players from Miami Heat, eating more apples. Michelle posted the video on Twitter, adding, ‘You don't want to miss this: Watch Air @Flotus dunk on @KingJames → https://go.wh.gov/Qa5t3P #LetsMove #DrinkH20”. The clip is part of her Let’s Move campaign which aims to end the epidemic of childhood obesity. Watch the full video:

Michelle has previously spoken about healthy eating, advocating the benefits of a healthy diet and exercise. “I don’t obsess about what I eat,” she told People magazine. “I do make sure that I’m eating vegetables and fruit. And as everyone knows, I do exercise.”The First Lady celebrated her 50th birthday last Friday with a big dance party at the White House, organised by her husband President Obama. Looking to the future, she has previously said that she wants to help future generations.“I’ve got to keep figuring out ways to have an impact,” she said. “Whether as a mother or as a professional or as a mentor to other kids.”
