Susanna Reid's long-term partner creates online dating profile

28 FEBRUARY 2014 Susanna Reid's relationship appears to be on the rocks. A profile of her long-term partner Dominic Cotton appeared on a dating website this week, sparking reports that the couple have gone their separate ways.

Susanna, 43, and Dominic, 47, have been together since 1998. They lived together in Balham with their three sons.

When asked whether they had separated, as Dominic had indicated in his post on match.com, the Strictly star told the Mirror, "I don't think it would be appropriate for me to discuss this."

There is speculation that Susanna's heavy workload – juggling filming and training for the last series of Strictly with her job as a BBC Breakfast presenter – might have contributed to the split.

The couple's last public appearance together was during the London leg of the Strictly live tour, when charity executive Dominic watched in the crowd with their sons Sam, 11, Finn, nine, and Jack, eight.

During the show, Susanna praised her partner, telling the audience, "He has been the best dad in the world in the last six months."

Dominic admitted in December that Susanna's Strictly commitments had taken their toll. "Her schedule has been really full-on," he said.

"I'm looking forward to having my partner back. It's been tough but we knew it would be. We knew it would be an enormous commitment but we discussed it and I was so happy to back her to do it."

Susanna currently makes a five hour round trip from her home in South London to the BBC Breakfast Salford studios.

"I now give the boys their tea and then hop on the train where I do all my homework for the programme. Then I'm back home when they get back from school," she has said of her family routine.

The star is currently at the centre of a bidding war with ITV, who have reportedly offered her £1million to be the face of their new breakfast show.
