Cheryl Cole sets record straight about romance rumours

02 APRIL 2014 Cheryl Cole has set the record straight about rumours that she is dating a South African personal trainer.

The X Factor Judge appears to be less than impressed at the speculation surrounding her love life with various men that she has been recently seen with.

The Call My Name singer was also upset at the media mistaking two men for the same person – one is a good friend and the other is a personal trainer.

"Seeing a lot of fabricated stories on this.. One a great friend the other a married man.. Do they look alike to you ??" wrote Cheryl on Instagram, alongside two photographs of her with the two men.

"@joelcompass last week.. Who's next? Roll up, roll up!.. To the fictional writers #shouldvegonetospecsavers #thatisall."

Last week Joel denied reports he was dating the former Girls Aloud star, admitting that the duo had worked together on some tracks for Cheryl's as-yet-unannounced upcoming album.

Romance rumours then circulated the internet this week when reports surfaced that Cheryl had flown to South Africa for the second time in four months to meet up with personal trainer Steve Uria.

Cheryl divorced England footballer Ashley Cole in 2010 and has recently dated professional dancer Derek Hough and backing dancer Tre Holloway.

In March she delighted fans by announcing her return to the X Factor panel. "GUESS WHAT!!" the Newcastle-born star wrote on Instagram. "I'm baaaacccckkkkk!!!! #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck #XFactor2014 #leggooo."

The accompanying snap showed the pop star with her hands around Simon Cowell's neck and the music mogul squirming with his eyes closed.

Cheryl, 30, can be seen biting her lip for the picture, which reflects the playful rivalry they enjoyed over a few years on the UK show between 2008 and 2010.
