22 APRIL 2014 Happy birthday Amber Heard! The Rum Diary actress turns 28 today, and to celebrate HELLO! Online takes a look at what's in the stars for Amber and you…

Amanda Heard

If it's not one thing, it's another. This, though, surely comes as no surprise to you. It has always been that way. The world is full of people who just can't leave well alone. For some strange reason, they all seem to have your phone number or email. How much easier life would be if only you didn't have to deal with all their issues. Yet how much more boring too. Exasperating developments make life interesting. Er... don't they? Remember today, chaos has a purpose and stupidity can sometimes lead to serendipity. The 'Grand Cross' is still the most significant astrological influence for some time. Anything and everything positive can happen.

Amber Heard made her film debut in Friday Night Lights in 2004 alongside Billy Bob Thornton, but it was four years later, in 2008, that she made her big breakthrough through with roles in titles including Pineapple Express and Never Back Down.

A trophy at the Young Hollywood Awards followed, and Amber received widespread attention for her appearances in films including The Informers, Zombieland and The Joneses.

In 2009, she started filming The Rum Diary with Johnny Depp; she later described playing the actor's love interest in the film as "the best experience of my life". And it has been her subsequent romance with Johnny that has catapulted Amber to super stardom.

The couple confirmed their relationship in June 2012, shortly after the handsome star split from his partner of 14 years Vanessa Paradis (the pair have two children together).

Johnny and Amber got engaged on Christmas Eve, and look set to tie the knot this year.

"She's a wonderful girl," Johnny, 50, said in a recent interview with Today. "She sharp as a tack. A southern girl and sweet as can be, and very good for me."
