Mark Shand 's funeral will take place in Dorset on Thursday 1 May. The Duchess of Cornwall 's brother, who tragically passed away in New York on 23 April, will be laid to rest during a private family ceremony at Holy Trinity Church in Stourpaine. Camilla, who has been left devastated by the loss of her 62-year-old brother, will be supported by her husband Prince Charles during the solemn occasion.

Mark ShandMark's daughter Ayesha, nephew Ben Elliot and his and Camilla's sister Annabel Elliot are also expected at the ceremony. The sibling's father Major Bruce Shand was also laid to rest at the same church in 2006.

In a piece for the Mail on Sunday,, food writer Tom said his uncle's death has left "a massive, gaping hole that will never be filled"." There was no-one like him, never will be," added Tom. "How lucky we all were to have had this giant, magnificent figure in our lives."
