Coleen Rooney defends football views prior to World Cup team announcement

12 MAY 2014

Coleen Rooney’s husband may play for Manchester United but she wasn’t afraid to gush about Liverpool Football Club on Sunday night.

The fashion star was eager to show her appreciation via Twitter before they won 2-1 against Newcastle, but ended up losing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City. Before the verdict was known Coleen told approximately 1.11million followers that she was rooting for a miraculous recovery from her favourite soccer club.

Good luck to Liverpool FC today!! Great season!! Fingers crossed!!” she posted. However the tweet got those devoted to her husband’s team riled up, and Coleen as forced to defend her words.

“Hahaha a lot of mixed replies to that!!! I just say what I feel,” she laughed as the Twittersphere was seemingly outraged that Manchester United had ended up seventh in relation to Liverpool’s second. “Haha!! Funny 1/2 hour on twitter!! Have a lovely day everyone ..... # I'll say what I like, I'll say what I like ...” she sang.
