Singers Mel B, Nicole Scherzinger, Jessie J and Tulisa Contostavlos stepped out on Wednesday evening to attend the 2014 Mobo Awards. Former X Factor judge and Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole, 36, showed off her figure in a fitted black leather dress while current X Factor judge Mel B, who was co-hosting the music awards ceremony held at London's SSE Wembley Arena, wore a sleek white dress with gold embroidery and thigh-high split.

Bang Bang singer Jessie, 26, went for a low-cut gold Emilio Pucci trouser suit and Tulisa, 26, chose a black crop top, graphic print skirt with mermaid hem and heels. Jessie J, who won an award for best female, kicked off the show, shown live on ITV2, with a medley of her hits Bang Bang and Burning Up.

She said: "I'm so proud to be here and to open the show. This is one of the best years of my life. It's been so fulfilling. My heart feels so full. "But the night’s big winner was Sam Smith, who scooped no fewer than four gongs, including best male artist and best album, at this year's Mobo awards.

The 22-year-old soul singer from London was also awarded best RnB artist and best song for his hit Stay With Me. Sam’s success at the Mobos on Wednesday was the icing on the cake for the singer, whose debut album In the Lonely Hour went to number one in the UK earlier that day. He was also named best new act at the Q awards.

He said: "This is truly a dream come true. It feels amazing. I hardly ever win awards and I never got awards in school for anything so it is really surreal for me to have five in one day. I don’t know where I'll put them all. I need a cabinet. Well actually I need a house big enough for a cabinet." The Mobos were set up in 1996 to celebrate music of black origin.
