Some of Hollywood's most influential leading ladies are heading to Washington on a mission. Julianne Moore, Jessica Chastain, Katy Perry and more stars will voice their concerns over Donald Trump's presidency by marching in unity on Jan. 21, the day after the presidential inauguration.

The rally is being billed as an event to defend women's rights, something the president-elect has been notoriously ambivalent about protecting. (He campaigned on a platform to defund one of the most prolific women's organizations in the U.S.: Planned Parenthood.) Hundreds of Canadian women are expected to join the A-list marchers in what is considered to be one of the biggest demonstrations in American history.

So far the roster of A-listers who are expected to attend is robust, with Cher, Amy Schumer, Debra Messing and Patricia Arquette set to march alongside Julianne and Co.

Actress America Ferrera recently opened up to Variety about why women in Hollywood feel so passionate about this event. "Since the election, so many fear that their voices will go unheard -- as artists, women, and most importantly dedicated Americans, it is critical that we stand together in solidarity for the protection, dignity, and rights of our communities."

Scarlett Johansson has also been vocal about her plans to swing by Washington. "I am marching on Washington to let our next president know that we, men and women alike, will not stand down or be silenced and will fight to protect our bodies and our choices," she said in a statement. Meanwhile, a separate rally is being planned at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah by Chelsea Handler for female celebrities who can't make it to Washington.

"Sundance has always been a platform for change, not only for filmmakers and filmmaking but also for big ideas for the future," Handler in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. 'If there's anything I learned in the last year, it's that we need to be louder and stronger than ever about what we believe in, so I joined some incredible women from around the country to bring our voices together in the streets of Park City. The Women's March on Main will be an opportunity for the creative community and those in Utah to stand beside those in D.C."

Several celebrities are expected in attendance there, including Jennifer Aniston, Geena Davis, Salma Hayek, Melissa Leo, Elizabeth Olsen and Rooney Mara.
