After Romeo Beckham posted a snap of himself dressed casually in a camouflage hoodie, jogging bottoms and grey trainers, his dad David was quick to point out that his middle son had actually stolen his shoes! In the comments section of Romeo's photo, the dad-of-two wrote: "Ha nice shoes Romeo Beckham they look a little big for you #dadsshoes," accompanied by an eye roll emoji. Romeo was quick to banter with his dad, joking: "Funny thing is they're not big for me," accompanied by a crying with laughter emoji.

There is a long history of David's three sons casually borrowing their dad's clothes, as the retired footballer has previously revealed that his teenage boys, particularly his eldest son, 18-year-old Brooklyn, like to raid his wardrobe. Chatting to HELLO! Fashion, David said: "I'm still a cool dad as far as my younger children are concerned. I was cool for about five hours, according to Brooklyn, when I got him Kanye's Adidas Yeezys for his 16th birthday. Then he realised I got myself a pair as well, so that kind of killed it… Every time I go into my wardrobe and there are clothes on the floor, I know Brooklyn's been in there, as I'm a really tidy person. He doesn't think I'm cool, but he will go out in my new Saint Laurent trousers - which actually fit him better - and my trainers."

David also joked about it on The Graham Norton Show, after Graham showed screenshots of Brooklyn's Instagram account and pointed out that David had commented: "That's my jumper." Laughing at the comment, he said: "I was sat at lunch when that came up on my screen… and it was my jumper so I had to tell him… I still find him wearing my clothes every single day."
