Speaking about his on-screen partnership with British actress Keira Knightley, who takes the film's title role, Aaron admitted he was a little anxious.

He revealed that during the initial screen-test, at director Joe Wright's house, they "did a reading together, I was kind of nervous.”But he added that Keira, 27, soon put him at ease: "she's a really sweet girl and I got along with her straight away, so that helped. We had a laugh and a chat, it was cool."

Aaron has stormed to fame in the last three years, having starred in such films as Kick Ass and Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and Nowhere Boy, whose director was his future wife Sam.
