HUGH JACKMAN
Not many kids can claim to have a superhero for a father, but Oscar Maximilian, five, and 11-month-old Ava Eliot can. Their dad is Hollywood heart-throb Hugh Jackman, who portrays Wolverine in the X-Men trilogy. He may play the tough guy on screen, but Hugh comes over all emotional when talking about his adopted offspring. "It's such a privilege to be a parent. I'm a great believer in destiny, and believe we were all destined to be together." The actor, who is married to fellow thesp Deborah Lee Furness, describes the level of love he has for his children as "mind-blowing".

Being a daddy is the Aussie actor's most important role to date, and he enjoys playing househusband when his wife is working: "I love hanging out with the kids and cooking for them. I think Deb is a brilliant actor and I think she should be doing more. So I'll definitely be doing a lot more Mr Mumming in the future."

As for discipline in the Jackman household, Hugh says he's tougher on Oscar "because he is a boy. I'm a guy; I know what he will go through with girls." He's a soft option, however, when it comes to his daughter. "I'm like mush. I'm pathetic. I already feel with Ava that, when she says: 'Daddy, I really need a car.' I'll be 'Well, don't you need two?'."
