Fans of Hollywood's star couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie couldn't wait to buy a bottle of their Miraval rosé wine, and since going on sale, it's proved such a success that it has already become a target of forgers. But wine lovers can rest assured they'll get their hands on an authentic bottle because the Perrin family, which produces the rosé with the stars, have added an engraved hallmark into the foot of the glass bottle.

The wine, which is a blend of Grenanche, Carignan, Syrah and Rolle, now comes with the anti-counterfeit protection.

Winemaker Marc Perrin said: "We are already seeing evidence of faked bottles being produced and distributed in China, so we have moved swiftly to counter it. "The joint venture between actress-turned-director Angelina and her heart-throb husband Brad and the Perrin family, of Château Beaucastel in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, was first announced in February 2013.

Brad and Angelina played a significant part in the development of their wine, going as far as participating in wine-blending classes to help make the tipple.

The pair partnered with the Perrin family, a fifth-generation winemaking brood located in France's Provence region, to develop their own rosé wine under the Jolie-Pitt & Perrin brand. Since, the wine has received rave reviews and went on to be named one of the world's top wines, winning the 84th spot on Wine Spectator's top 100 wines of 2013 list.

The 35-bedroom French Château has been one of the family's favourite holiday destinations since 2008. Brad proposed to his long-term girlfriend Angelina there in early 2012, the same year the couple purchased the estate for £41million. They then decided on the sprawling French hideaway to tie the knot in an intimate family ceremony in August 2014.
