After several seasons in Milan, US born designer Calvin Klein hopes to launch his latest men’s collection in Manhattan in a show of support for the city.

“We are not showing in Milan. That’s been decided,” reports a spokesman for the fashion icon’s European headquarters. “Right now we are looking into different ways of presenting the collection in New York. But nothing has been decided about how exactly that will happen.”

Calvin is set to debut his women’s collection at Chelsea’s Milk Studios in mid-February at the conclusion of New York fashion week.

Sean “P Diddy” Combs has designs on a Big Apple production for his next Sean John collection – contrary to previous reports he’d show in Paris. However, acclaimed fashion designer Ralph Lauren will depart US shores for Milan in January. The scheduled Italian runway show would be a first for Ralph, a designer known for his use of iconic American imagery.
