Bright young thing Agyness stands out from the arts party crowd

She's just ousted Kate Moss to be crowned the world's best dressed woman, so it's no surprise Agyness Deyn is a firm fixture on invitation lists for the fashion world's most glamorous bashes. On Thursday night, all eyes were on the model-of-the-moment as she made a typically bold style statement at an art and film party in London.

The rising star turned heads as she stepped out in a quirky ensemble - an electric blue chequered jacket teamed with a white print pencil skirt and outsized Louis Vuitton bag.

"She's the girl everyone wants to be," fashion house Burberry has said. "She's free-spirited and always stands out from the crowd."

Also injecting a burst of colour into the evening was Pop Idol Will Young, who wore a simple white and neon tee shirt as he shared a joke with his new fashionista pal.

Going for a more traditional sartorial approach was ever-glamorous designer Jade Jagger, who showed off her enviable figure in an off-the-shoulder silver glitter dress.
