Veteran stage and screen actress Jane Seymour has added another creative string to her bow by branching out into women’s fashion design. The former Bond girl has teamed up with American direct marketing company Blair Corporation to produce the Jane Seymour Signature Collection.

“Working with Blair on a women’s fashion line fulfils a lifelong aspiration for me,” said the Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman star.

The collection, which includes skirts, blouses, dresses, jewellery and other accessories, will incorporate examples of the actress’s original watercolour paintings on impressionistic floral themes. All items will retail exclusively through the company’s Crossing Pointe catalogue and website.

“I have long enjoyed painting in both watercolours and oils. Through Crossing Pointe, I can transform my artwork and creative energy into fashion designs and offer an affordable line of women’s apparel that embodies my art and my lifestyle,” says Jane.

Its collaboration with the glamorous, multiple Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress is something of a departure for Blair, which started out life 90 years ago providing black raincoats to funeral directors and ministers.

The first Jane Seymour Signature Collection will preview on the Crossing Pointe website (www.crossingpointe.com) in early January, and will be featured in the company catalogue available at the end of the same month.
