This weekend saw the long-awaited premiere of The Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl at Disneyland, California. Screen hunks Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp greeted fans, while beautiful co-star Keira Knightley, of Bend It Like Beckham fame, showed off her toned abs in jeans and skimpy top.

"This is surreal," said Depp as he walked up the 900-foot-long red carpet, flashing the gold teeth that were a requisite for his part as pirate Jack Sparrow. "I do appreciate the screams, but it's not something you ever get used to. If you do get used to it, you're in serious trouble," he added.

In the film Depp plays a good pirate who, along with Orlando Bloom's character, battles to save Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) from the evil schemes of Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush). Set in the 17th century, the swash-buckling adventure is set to be one of this summer's blockbusters.

It was the first ever film premiere to take place at Disneyland and it was the perfect setting, as the film was inspired by the theme park's Pirates of the Caribbean water ride. The film opens nationwide in the US on July 9 and in the UK on August 10.
