'CHARLIE'S ANGELS' SAVED MY LOVE LIFE, SAYS LUCY LIU

High-kicking star Lucy Liu has revealed how Charlie's Angels came to the rescue of her troubled love-life. Apparently the actress had difficulty finding romance after playing po-faced lawyer Ling Woo in the hit series Ally McBeal.

"Men never asked me out on dates," said Lucy. "People got the impression that I am hard. But I can't blame them because people only know me through tough characters on television and in film.

"In movies like Charlie's Angels I show my softer side and I think that comes through. Actually men have started approaching me and asking me out, so I guess all the interviews and the movie has really helped out."

Her co-star Drew Barrymore is also enjoying a revived love-life, after she started dating Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti. "I've had to make my mistakes in public," admits the 28-year-old, who has been through two failed marriages. "That's the price you pay for being well-known and so open. I feel that this time it could be the one – I hope so."
