Angelina Jolie's creepy eating habits

Having confessed to a fascination with mortuary science and collecting knives, Angelina Jolie is well-known for her unusual tastes. Even hardened Lara Croft fans may find her latest admission a little unpalatable, however, as the actress has revealed that she likes eating creepy crawlies.

"I developed a taste for the stuff while I was in Cambodia," explains the 28-year-old. "I've eaten cockroaches and bee larvae and crickets. You can get them with peanuts inside or with guts. I like them – they're really meaty and high in protein."

Angelina has been making regular visits to Cambodia since she adopted a little boy, Maddox, who was born there. She became enamoured of the war-ravaged country while making the film Tomb Raider, and has since donated $1.5 million to help set up a wildlife sanctuary.

The actress has even turned her hand to bomb disposal after finding an unexploded landmine outside her home there. And in her role as a UN goodwill ambassador, she has also been campaigning for landmine clearance programmes around the world.

Angelina is currently sampling the local delicacies of Morocco, where she is filming the historical epic Alexander with Colin Farrell and Anthony Hopkins.
