It would take quite a pair to steal the spotlight from Hollywood golden couple Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, but Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow did just that as they let the world in on their romance at the Los Angeles premiere of Along Came Polly.

Rumours that the cyclist and the rock singer had been dating emerged last autumn, but their red carpet stroll together at Monday's debut of the Jennifer Aniston-Ben Stiller comedy was the first time they'd taken the relationship public.

Father-of-three Lance and his wife of five years Kristin separated in January 2003, reuniting publicly in July to celebrate the athlete's fifth straight Tour de France victory. However, just over one month later the two announced the marriage was over, and they were seeking a divorce.

"The craziest thing is, we're closer now and better friends than ever before," Lance said in September, when divorce plans were revealed. "We're truly committed to maintaining a good relationship, but not a marriage."
