Halle Berry was looking more cowgirl than Catwoman when she stepped out in Los Angeles this week. The Oscar-winner kept her cool under a Texan-style straw hat as she strolled through the streets of Tinseltown during a break from work on her latest film.

With a floaty mini-dress over jeans and flip-flops, the actress was a picture of boho chic. And she was no doubt glad of the opportunity to step into more comfy attire, as she has been head to toe in skin-tight leather for the last few weeks. Reprising her role as Storm in the third instalment of the X-Men series has meant squeezing back into the one-piece suit she made famous in the first two films.
She obviously doesn't require any special effects to hit the right note when she's off the set, though, as cowboy hats have been this summer's must-have accessory. Indeed Halle is just the latest in a series of A-list stars to be seen wearing one.
Cindy Crawford and Beyonce Knowles were both photographed wearing Stetsons while on holiday in the south of France this summer. Victoria Beckham was snapped in hers as she enjoyed the sunshine in Sardinia, while the Duchess of York likewise opted for the Wild West look when she hit the beach in St Tropez. Other fans of "ten-gallon chic" include Bono, Cher, Kimberly Stewart and Madonna. |
