Halle Berry reunited with her ex Gabriel Aubry for the sake of their shared daughter.
In the midst of graduation season, the former couple's daughter Nahla is the latest to hit the milestone, having graduated from her Los Angeles high school on June 4.
The Monster's Ball actress and the former model dated from 2005 to 2010, and were embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their 18-year-old following their split.
On the special day, Halle was seen attending the graduation at the California State University campus, along with her fiancé Van Hunt, who she has been in a relationship with since 2020.
Gabriel, who is reportedly currently single and has never married nor had any more children in addition to Nahla, arrived separately from Halle.
Though Halle, who also shares son Maceo-Robert, 12, with ex-husband Olivier Martinez, has long kept her children largely out of the spotlight, she did confirm back in October that Nahla had already gotten into college.
"Congratulations to my sweet Angel Nahla for her early college acceptance!" she wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time, sharing a photo that had "You did it Nahla!!" written in white icing.
The custody battle over Nahla, who was only two years old at the time of her parents' split, was an extensive one, with Halle and Gabriel being at odds over her child support payments as recently as 2022.
In 2014, Halle was ordered by a judge to pay Gabriel $16,000 a month in child support, a figure she has since both slammed as "extortion" and managed to slash in 2022 to a lesser $8,000 a month, plus a percentage from her annual earnings.
Similarly, with Olivier, with whom she has also had a bitter custody and child support battle, she has to pay him $8,000 a month in child support and an additional 4.3 percent of all income she receives above $2 million, and she is responsible for covering all of his private school tuition, as well as all extracurricular activities.
In a 2021 Instagram post, she spoke out against her child support agreements, sharing a photo that read: "Women don't owe you [expletive]," and writing in the comments section: "It takes great strength [everyday] to pay it. And BTW it's wrong and it's extortion!" plus: "I've been paying it for a decade now. I feel if a woman or man is having to pay support that is way more than the reasonable needs to help SUPPORT the child, I think that is wrong!"
She continued: "I understand some parents (man or woman) may need help, but I also feel in these modern times both men and women have the responsibility to financially take care of their children and work hard and make every effort to do so. The way many laws are set up, people are allowed to USE children in order to be awarded money to live a lifestyle that not only did they not earn, but that is way above and beyond the child's reasonable needs."
