Despite reports across the pond that she went into labour over last Thursday's Thanksgiving holiday, it would appear Jennifer Garner is still waiting for her new arrival to make its debut. Ben Affleck's wife, who is expected to give birth in the next two weeks, was showing off an impressive bump when she visited a Los Angeles clinic for a check-up on Tuesday.

Casually dressed in a grey sweater with matching corduroy trousers, the actress was chatting warmly with a female friend as she walked from the centre to her car. Her doctor's appointment came as the Tinseltown press waited on tenterhooks for news of a new addition to the Affleck-Garner household.
In recent months the wardrobe department of her hit series Alias has had to make some changes, abandoning the slinky outfits her character normally wears in favour of less revealing ensembles. And it seems TV viewers have seen the last of super spy Sydney Bristow's famously-toned midriff, as producers at network ABC have announced the show will come to an end in the New Year.
Jen's fans can rest assured the 32-year-old will be back on sizzling form in 2006, however. She has recently signed up to play the lead role in an erotic thriller called Sabbatical, in which she and her fictional husband decide to take a "break" from their marriage. |
