SARAH, MAGGIE AND BRYCE MAKE MOVIE MAGIC

30 MAY 2006

It's a dramatic time in the Big Apple at the moment, with superheroes, lost islanders and former vampire slayers roaming the streets. Only in the name of make-believe, though - Hollywood starlets Sarah Michelle Gellar, Maggie Grace and Bryce Dallas Howard are hard at work on the sets on their latest films.

The former Buffy star looked like she'd struck up a girlie friendship with her co-star Maggie, aka Shannon in Lost: the photogenic twosome were snapped giggling on the New York set of romantic comedy The Girls' Guide To Hunting and Fishing. Sarah, 29, plays a Manhattanite book editor who finds her take on the rules of romance changed after she lures the attention of an influential older man.

Across town Bryce, who is the daughter of The Da Vinci Code director Ron Howard, was getting into her part as Peter Parker's love interest, Gwen Stacy, in Spider-Man 3. The natural redhead sported new peroxide blonde locks on set as she filmed alongside her superhero.

Audiences will see her battle for Tobey Maguire's affections with Kirsten Dunst, who reprises her role as Mary Jane Watson for the third time in the popular comic book adaptation. Both movies are due out in cinemas next year.
