With Britain sweltering in a mini heatwave Keira Knightley must have been grateful for her barely-there Gucci gown at the European premiere of the Pirates Of The Caribbean sequel. To make sure she was even cooler at the screening of Dead Man's Chest , the starlet had accessorised with plenty of ice. She was wearing diamond-encrusted earrings and a bracelet on loan from Cartier.
"If you can't wear a dress like this when you're 21, when can you?" quipped the actress cheerfully as she arrived with co-stars Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom.
Philanthropic Keira also had another reason for wearing the "X-rated" dress. The starlet apparently decided it would be a great way to raise the spirits of footie fans after England's World Cup defeat.
Despite the high temperatures the Pirates crew spent an hour signing autographs, with Keira joking: "People are fainting. That'll be for Johnny."
The Hollywood actors were joined by a host of other stars, including Kelly Brook and Mischa Barton, who got her share of the limelight in an aqua-coloured mini-dress. Jonathan Ross made it a family affair, by turning up with his wife and three children. The chatshow host's other half, Jane Goldman, and his 14-year-old daughter, Betty Kitten, were also eye-catching with their vivid red manes.
