NICOLLETTE HITS THE SHOPS AS MICHAEL TALKS WEDDING PLANS

Glamorous Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan was spotted doing some last-minute Christmas shopping in West Hollywood on Monday, preparing for her first Christmas as the fiancée of singer Michael Bolton.

Casually dressed in a white jumper and jeans, the actress looked relaxed and happy as she browsed the stores in her hometown of Los Angeles. And Nicollette's husband-to-be Michael has said they couldn't be happier as they plan their wedding.

"This is a special time in my life," said the singer, who has laughed off suggestions that he will be following in Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's footsteps and staging a spectacular celebration. "I'm not sure if I'd like something like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' wedding or not. A castle is a pretty bold statement," he said, adding "And we've got to think about whether we want 5,000 of our closest friends there with us!".

"Getting married is the biggest decision you're ever going to make with your life. However, when you've lived a little bit, like Nicollette and I have, you realise that the building where the actual ceremony is going to take place is probably the least important element of the whole day. When you agree to get married, the enormous statement is that you want to spend the rest of your life with that person."
