Romantic comedy specialist Hugh Grant may play a washed-up and stressed out singer in his latest flick, but that didn't stop him and co-star Drew Barrymore having a giggle on set.

The 46-year-old actor and his co-star were snapped sharing a joke on the New York set of Music And Lyrics, in which Hugh, who discovered his talent for romantic comedy with Four Weddings And A Funeral, plays a has-been songster. His character enlists the help of Drew when he is given a couple of days to compose a hit.

The film, due for release on Valentine's Day 2007, is a return to form for the Love Actually star. Hugh admitted he had been keeping a low profile of late, saying. "I haven't done very much work."

"I did slightly lose interest," he added, "but then I got bored. I got bored with being bored, so I am back."
