Holly Willoughby has revealed it was a "shock to the system" when she returned to This Morning on Monday.
The ITV presenter, who delighted fans this week when she reunited with Phillip Schofield on the ITV daytime show, had an extended period of time off after the Easter holidays as she recovered from a bout of shingles.
Speaking about her return, Holly wrote on her lifestyle website Wylde Moon: "Despite it being a bit of a shock to the system this morning, I've really enjoyed finally getting back into the swing of things.
"Having had an Easter break which then bled into a whole week off sick, I've realised how much I LOVE a bit of routine!" She added: "When it's a routine that's been developed over many years, the auto-pilot and familiarity can bring comfort and relief.

"That's not to say I don’t relish and appreciate the 'fly by the seat of your pants' aspect of the school holidays, but coming up with different ways to occupy the kids and fill your days becomes quite the challenge after the first week – especially with three kids going in different directions!"
At the start of Monday's show, Holly began by taking a deep sigh and said: "It is nice to be back!" before turning to Phillip and adding: "Good to see you! I'm feeling much better.
"I've had a wobbly week and a half and if anyone has had shingles it's really not the nicest thing but yes, I'm much better." Phillip then remarked: "All mended? Good. It's lovely to see you."
Last week, Holly was housebound after coming down with shingles. Phillip hosted This Morning between Monday and Thursday as usual but was joined by Rochelle Humes in Holly's place.
