Susanna Reid

Age: 42
Occupation: Journalist

Best known for: For her perky appearances on BBC Breakfast

Her warm presenting style gives millions of viewers extra motivation to get out of bed each morning. She's been a BBC journalist for 20 years, covering many major stories from the capture of Saddam Hussein to the death of Michael Jackson.

A mother-of-three, Susanna commutes several hundred miles from her home in South London every week to present the BBC Breakfast show, which is based in Salford, Greater Manchester.

She has some experience with sequins, having performed a Strictly Children in Need dance routine in 2011 with her fellow newsreaders.

The popular news presenter will juggle her quest for the glitterball trophy with stints on the sofa.

When asked what she was looking for in a dance partner, Susanna said, "Someone who is very patient and who can just murmur in my ear when I forget the moves. The thing I am most scared about is forgetting the moves. I don’t want to train and train and then forget everything! I need someone who is going to gently encourage me. I hope I don’t make anyone angry. I definitely need patience and understanding in a partner.
