Prince George wasn't the only famous baby celebrating an important religious milestone this week.

Ivanka Trump's newborn son Joseph has officially been welcomed into the Jewish faith.

Proud Ivanka, 31, who only gave birth to her baby boy last Monday, has shared an Instagram photograph that shows her gently kissing her son's forehead on the occasion of his bris, a Jewish ceremony traditionally held when the baby is eight days old.

"One week old. Thanks to all of you for your kind words and best wishes," the entrepreneur captioned the adorable picture.

The mother-of two looks elegant in a classic black dress, her blonde hair up in a chignon under a matching hat. Despite giving birth just one week ago, she looks picture perfect as she cradles her baby boy, who is dressed for the occasion in a long white robe.

As well as Ivanka's husband Jared Kushner, the couple's two-year-old daughter Arabella was likely to have been at the ceremony given her fondness for her new baby brother.

On Monday, Arabella was pictured giving Joseph a quick medical check-up, holding a toy stethoscope to his tiny chest in an Instagram photo that proud Ivanka captioned, "Joseph's first doctor's appointment."

And hours after Joseph's arrival, the excited toddler was photographed clutching a doll that had been tightly wrapped up after "practising her swaddle before her little brother comes home", before heading to the hospital to enjoy her very first cuddle with the newborn.Ivanka and Jared announced the news of their son's arrival with an official birth announcement and a beautiful photo of mother and son in hospital.

Both parents have been relishing those precious first few days with their little boy. "Jared hasn't lost his touch with a newborn, I'm so in love with these two boys," Ivanka wrote next to an adorable picture of father and son.
