Ian Watkins – best known as H from Steps – and his partner Craig Ryder are celebrating the arrival of twin boys. The ecstatic couple announced their big news on Monday, alongside a photo of their baby sons' tiny hospital wrist bands. "WE are DADS! We are totally and utterly in love!" the caption read.Ian and Craig, who have been together for around nine years, are yet to name their twins, who were born via surrogate in the early hours on Sunday morning, just minutes apart.

The pair, who live together in North Wales, have longed dreamed of becoming parents. They suffered a heartbreaking loss in 2012 when their first surrogate miscarried, but proudly announced they would become fathers in a sweet animated video posted on Twitter in December.The clip took viewers on a journey of Ian and Craig's relationship, showing some of their biggest moments to date – from jetting off on holiday together to moving into their first home. "Together we've been on lots of adventures!" the video explains. "But our biggest adventure is about to begin!"

The couple announced they were going to be fathers with a sweet video

It continues: "For a long time we have been wishing, and our wish is about to come true! Ian has spoken openly about the heartache of losing their first child

Ian has spoken openly in the past about the tragedy of losing their first child. He told The People that hearing the news his child's heart had stopped beating was "the worst moment of my life"."We were thinking names, and we even planned out first Christmas as a family," he said. "We were both ready to be dads. I just feel empty and helpless. The only person who can help me is Craig."
