As events before and after Valentine's Day are prone to remind us, if we had really understood how difficult something was going to be, we might never have taken on the challenge! Far better to be enthusiastic out of ignorance, than to be pessimistic for the same reason. If you're going to be negative, you owe it to yourself to research your options and alternatives carefully. Don't look at a situation and think, 'There's nothing in this for me.' Check what there could be.
