The world's biggest party animals descended on the city of Miami on Tuesday when Carmen Electra hosted the American Dance Music Awards. And the former Baywatch babe, who showed off her curves in a sexy sequinned mini-dress, got some stylish support from It-girl Paris Hilton.
In an explosion of crazy hairstyles and colourful outfits, the kings and queens of clubland came along to celebrate the best DJs, remixers and booty-shakers of the year. Britain's Boy George mingled with Yoko Ono and Moby, as a roll-call of dance music stars were honoured.
The prizegiving, which is now in its third year, is rapidly becoming one of the biggest events in the showbiz calendar. It was broadcast to over 80 countries, with an estimated audience of nearly a billion people.
"When I first started talking to broadcasters in America, they'd say to me, 'So this ballroom dancing event you're doing - why do you think it's got a TV audience?'," revealed organiser Andy Ruffell. "And we're like, 'No, we're not talking about ballroom dancing.' That's when I realized we had quite a job to do!".
