PINK WEDS HER MOTORBIKE CHAMP BEAU IN COSTA RICA

The proposal could hardly have been more unusual: the bride flagged down her beau during a motorbike race by holding up a sign that read "Will you marry me?". As he revved up a for a second lap she wrote "I'm serious!". So when punky singer Pink, 26, wed motocross champ Carey Hart the nuptials were "also fun and non-traditional".



The couple, who've been dating since 2001, tied the knot over the weekend in an intimate, non-denominational ceremony on a Costa Rican beach, witnessed by 100 guests including Lisa Marie Presley. "We're spiritual, but we're not religious," said the groom. "It was about being with our closest friends and family and having a fun, loose party."

Having said she planned on "being a girl and wearing a dress", the Lady Marmalade star was true to her word, arriving for the private sunset service in a champagne-coloured ensemble. The normally rebellious performer cut a romantic figure in a tiered skirt and matching halterneck top, tied at the waist with a dramatic black sash.

Known for his daredevil motorcyle stunts, the 30-year-old groom is no less adventurous when it come to showing Pink his devotion: "Once we get married, I'm going tattoo her name down my ring finger," he recently promised.

One wedding tradition pop star Pink was keen to uphold was showing off her ring. On a night out at a Hollywood club in August the singer was happy to flash her diamond sparkler to all and sundry. For the honeymoon, the quirky pair are heading off with their four dogs on a snowboarding holiday.
