The singer's relationship with French heart-throb Olivier Martinez, who she began dating in 2003, seems to have gone from strength to strength over the last 12 months. After being diagnosed Kylie made the decision to undertake her cancer treatment in Paris in order to be near him. Olivier in turn cut back his schedule and remained by her side. These days the couple divide their time between their respective bases – his in Paris, hers in London.
The pair's union seems to bear out the maxim that opposites attract - he is the strong, silent type, while Kylie is exuberant and talkative. "Olivier is a man of few words on anything," she laughs. "He is very strong and very private. He has a great inner strength." The handsome screen star has clearly been a hit with the close-knit Minogue clan, too. He "would be more than ideal as a brother-in-law," enthuses her sister Danni. "He has been incredible. He makes Kylie so happy – the happiest I've seen her."
