Albert Square enjoyed a rare evening of joy and celebration when Angela's character Yolanda tied the knot with Patrick. The actress, who was an accomplished stage performer before heading for Walford, based the character on her sister. "Merlene was always more gregarious than I am and I put a lot of her into the part," she reveals. In years gone by Angela has also managed to put a smile on TV fans' faces with her roles in the series No Problem! and What You Lookin' At?
