Famous for: playing machete-wielding Selena in 28 Days Later and witch Tia Dalma in Pirates Of The Caribbean

Naomie Harris' roles run the gambit from a detective's widow in Street Kings to playing a voodoo priestess in the Pirates Of The Caribbean sequels. Born in North London, the only child of TV writer and single mum Liselle Kayle, as a youngster she joined a children's drama club and soon landed a role in kids' series Simon And The Witch. After a break to study social and political sciences at Cambridge University, in 1998 she enrolled at the Old Vic Theatre School and had no sooner graduated than she was cast in Danny Boyle's 2002 flick 28 Days Later. She notched up more TV credits with White Teeth, After The Sunset and Trauma, before landing the part of Tia Dalma in the Pirates franchise in 2006. Between sharing the screen with Johnny Depp and co she joined Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx in Miami Vice and starred in big screen comedy, A Cock And Bull Story.
