Cheshire-born actress Polly Walker began her career as a dancer, but changed direction after an injury when she was 18. She came to the attention of audiences around the globe in 1992 with her role in big screen terrorist drama Patriot Games. This was followed by a number of notable roles, including parts in the Jane Austen adaptation Emma, comedy Curtain Call with Michael Caine, and crime thriller D-Tox which also starred Sylvester Stallone.
