Famous for: Bringing a sexy sizzle to Eastenders as feisty Mitchell sister Roxy

Landing the part of Roxy Mitchell in EastEnders as her first starring role was a dream come true for London-born actress Rita Simons. She watched the soap as a child, and loved the Mitchell family best of all. She joined the programme in 2007 and quickly went on to become a viewers' favourite, as well as winning numerous best newcomer TV trophies. Other small screen appearances include parts in London's Burning, Dream Team and Mile High. Rita who's the niece of The Apprentice business mogul Sir Alan Sugar - was also once in a Spice Girls-style band. Girls@Play scored a top 20 hit in 2001 with Airhead, but split later that year. She once dated Take That star Robbie Williams, but wed Theo Silverston, a hairdresser, in 2006. The couple - who live in London - welcomed twin daughters Jaimee and Maiya in April 2006.
