Self-confidence is a quality a policeman needs in abundance, and The Bill's DC Rob Thatcher has plenty. London-born performer Brian Bovell shares something of his character's winning form, having more than made his mark on the world of drama. Before joining Britain's favourite police series, he played Jez in the popular comedy Gimme Gimme Gimme, while his big screen credits include Love Actually and the critically acclaimed Secrets And Lies.
