Burn Gorman

TV fans will no doubt recognise Burn Gorman - who was born in Hollywood but has lived in London since the age of seven - as the dark and brooding Dr Harper from the Cardiff-set Doctor Who spinoff Torchwood. Other TV appearances include EastEnders, Coronation Street and Casualty. He's no stranger to the big screen either, having landed parts in Daniel Craig-vehicle Layer Cake, Fred Claus with Kevin Spacey, and The Oxford Murders, in which Elijah Wood starred. A talented musician, the actor has performed internationally with his band. He is married to Sarah, a Welsh teacher, with whom he has a son Max Hugh, born in 2006.
