Famous for: Switching from legendary lover in Casanova to time traveller

Filling the shoes of the small screen's favourite time traveller is no easy task, but when bosses at the BBC found themselves in need of a new Doctor Who, they decided Scotland's David Tennant would be just the man for the job.
