His role as Pete, one of the romantically challenged sextet from Cold Feet, made John a household name and opened up numerous new doors. The Northern Irish thesp has since gone on to star in Roger, Roger, Playing The Field and the innovative BBC series Blackpool and has come a long way since earning a living providing voices for Spitting Image puppets.
