Born: January 1, 1981
Famous for: his role as everyone's favourite outlaw in hit series Robin Hood
Ireland-born Jonas lived in Dublin until he was six, when his family relocated to Lancashire. After finishing school in Blackpool the budding thesp enrolled at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where he honed his craft in numerous productions, including Twelfth Night and Arthur Miller's The Crucible. Picking up certificates in stage combat and period dance along the way the multi-talented actor made the transition to TV in 2004. He appeared as a student in Teachers before accepting his first starring role in police dramaThe Ghost Squad. However, it was in 2006 that Jonas hit the big time, with the role of Steve in ITV1's Losing Gemma, and his performance in the title role of hit BBC series Robin Hood. The latter catapulted him to fame while making him a heart-throb for teenage girls across the UK.
